I think he's congested. Should I do anything?

He's not fussy, no fever, no runny or stuffed nose or sneezing but when he coughs it sounds congested. He has reflux so sometimes he coughs on his spit up but it never sounds congested like this. I just got over a cold so I'm thinking maybe he got a little one but it doesn't seem to bother him. I've heard turning the hot shower on or putting a humidifier on helps them breathe but he's fine otherwise and I don't know if steam will actually remove the mucus or does that go away on it's own?

  • a humidifier really works.
also taking him into a warm shower with you or just into the bathroom while a hot shower is running--the steam will help loosen things up, just like a humidifier would.

  • when my children have had colds, instead of thinking ifs, I act on my instincts. I f i could not talk, and felt sick I would really like it if there was a humidifier in the room, if something was put on my chest like Vicks vapor rub, and kept checking for mucous from the nose.

sorry, but once we become moms, we have no life of our own, just my opinion!!!!
