It's not going to get repealed. Big waste of time. We needed reform badly, and it's a start. I would have liked to see it go even further with the public option, but something is better then nothing. Millions of people without health care is disgusting.

  • I HOPE it gets repealed.

The PP's statement about Obamacrap...I meant care is FULL of lies that she is repeating after hearing it from the Libs who have LIED REPEATEDLY about who TRULY can and cannot get health care.

  • I hope it gets repealed! Obama made the history books, he'll be satisfied. If our looming debt/deficit crisis hasn't opened his eyes to the fact that this bill cannot be paid for, then he is a fool.

  • We have to be forced because, we are already paying dearly for the people that don't have insurance.

  • Obamacare isn't health care reform. It is 'coverage' reform. That isn't what is needed. We need Tort reform, pricing reform, reform how insurance is regulated so it can be shopped over state lines, and premium amounts made affordable. But, what they passed, it isn't reform. It is an entitlement (Pelosi and Reid's words). We don't need a new entitlement.

  • I am delighted that, firstly, it did not get de-railed and it actually made it to a vote.
I am delighted that ALL the Republicans supported the repeal.
In view of the recent elections all across the nation, I'm a bit puzzled about the fact that only 3 Democrats supported the repeal.

I realize that Senate Democrats, who outnumber Senate Republicans will likely defeat the Repeal Bill ... and that if it DOES pass in the Senate, Obama is quite likely to veto it.

But an important aspect of this which I don't see mentioned anywhere is this:
Ever since the Healthcare Bill passed, businesses have been learning more and more about new regulations and raises in taxes & penalties. It's definitely more and more expensive to give people jobs.

And by 2013 it would be impossible.

This vote shows employers that they don't HAVE to hunker down for Armageddon. They MIGHT feel free to make more optimistic plans, and HIRE people !

  • And, for crying out loud, read the bill before repeating the blatant propaganda deception that the Healthcare bill did ANYthing to remedy the problem that millions were without health care.

Health CARE & health INSURANCE COVERAGE are 2 very different things. (And NEITHER was improved by the Healthcare bill)

    The bill is scary
    - section after section with NO specifics: some yet-to-be-appointed director will create the regulations and the amount of money to be paid by gov't edict
    - already, children's hospitals have been notified that they'll no longer get assistance to provide medications which are uncommon - thus putting drastically ill children out of reach of care, or else running the hospitals out of business if they pay out of their own pockets for the children's needs. Now, THAT reform IS disgusting !
    - doctors are up front with their patients that they are quitting, they can see how impossible it will be.
