Anyone else having problems with Pacifiers?

I cannot get my 3 month old to take a pacifier. She has never like them. Some think this is a good thing but sometimes a plug is nice :)

  • My son only takes a certain brand. Try finding one (if she's bottle fed) that is somewhat similar to her bottle such as shape and texture (slicone or latex)

  • TRUST ME it's a good thing. when I was a baby I was addicted to them. If I didn't have it I would SCREAM. How my parents handled me I will never know. It is one less thing you have to break. (it took my parents until I was 4 years old to break me). I understand about the wanted a plug. Try giving her teething rings, it may help.

  • My son won't use one, either. I tried Soothies, Nuks, MAMs and these neat ones by Gerber that are supposed to be like breast feeding. No go.

  • My son has only started liking them recently. I think it just varies from baby to baby. Kind of like every pregnancy is different, every baby is also.

  • My son took them great until about two months. Now he'll only take them if he's sleepy and then he spits them out after about five minutes. I can't figure out why lol. Good luck!
