need a good white beans and ham recipe for slow cooker

The white beans are soaking and the ham is already cooked and ready to go. I've never made this dish and had the family say - make it again! Looking for that awesome recipe out there.

  • I make mine by draining the beans, adding enough chicken broth (or water/or combination) to cover the beans and the ham, a couple of minced garlic cloves, a sliced onion, and 2-3 large carrots peeled and sliced up. Then I add about a cup of tomato sauce. Let it cook all day. I do like the soup to thicken and not be watery, so if I'm home, I'll put the lid on tilted so that some of the moisture escapes and the broth thickens.
