39 weeks pregnant anything to help bring baby?

i want my baby here asap , im excited but my husband only has limited time before he has to go back to iraq, and by the time my doctor said shell induce is a week and half late which will only give him couple days with her. anything youve done thats brought your labor on? i dont want to try the castor oil and ive done the pineapple thing.

  • There really isn't anything that will start labor unless your body is ready. You can try having sex....that might help some.

  • i walked ALOT when i was pregnant with my son!! and i heard the primrose oil works. have you thought about asking your OB to do a membrane sweep. i heard they work, but you really need to be dilated some for it it work really well!!

  • They say .. Spicy food works. Gets the blood flowing, which can help encourage labor.

    Things that are more common in working are ... Sex. The semen softens the cervix and orgasms use the same muscles as labor, so it helps encourage it.

    Long walks. Helps bring the baby down to encourage water breaking and labor.

    Squats. Use a bathroom counter top or something to help support you. Only do 5 at a time. This does the same as walking.

    There are also a lot of natural teas and herbs that can help encourage labor as well.
