Is it safe to scrap with Polaroid pictures?

Has anyone used Polaroids in scrapbooking? I think I remember that Polaroids should not be cropped because of chemicals in the paper, also wonder if they are safe to use even uncropped. Would it be safer just to use a copy of the Polaroids?

  • I've found them fine providing you don't cut into the picture. If you do the chemicals tend to run.

  • If it is a polaroid... wouldn't it be wiser to scan and do a "reprint" so you don't ruin the original? I always keep originals safe, untouched, and to the side

  • it really depends on the type of glue you use. I wouldn't personally do it because I would be to afraid of ruining the picture
