How can there be such a huge difference in my IQ score?

A few years ago I scored a 144. Yesterday I took a different IQ test and only scored 108. Has that happened to you too?

  • Tired, distracted, scoring method, testing method, internet connection delays (IQ tests are generally timed responses)....

I generally score about a 156. If I'm tired or distracted, it drops to 134. Any version that relies heavily on spacial recognition (mentally rotating a 3 dimensional object) lowers my score further because I have huge problems with spacial recog.

  • Are these just online tests? If so, they are not accurate so it wouldn't surprise me for there to be a range that wide. I think those online tests can basically just tell you whether you're a complete idiot or not.

  • Was it a REAL IQ test or one on the internet. Internet IQ tests are not REAL, unless it is a Simon-Binet test it is NOT an IQ test.
