  • Rational? Sane? Normal?

Having a healthy lifestyle does not mean you can't have a fancy dinner when important guests come to visit. It does not mean you never, ever get to eat your favorite dessert again. It does not mean that if someone comes to visit your home, you can ONLY serve them the best dishes from your kitchen if they also happen to be healthy.

    All things in moderation!

The same could be said for parents who RARELY splurge their children with Happy Meals...... You know the same Happy Meals SOME liberals would be happy to see removed...... Ohhh yea.... SOME liberals would prefer to control others decision making abilities....  Hypocritical?.. LOL..

  • Do you know what my biggest problem with the whole thing is? These programs aren't going to fix childhood obesity. You know why? Because childhood obesity is the result of laziness and stupidity.
    Honestly. That's all it is.

I just got ANOTHER note from the school mentioning that my kid's bmi is "low." So I sent ANOTHER note back. Ok, you try to put weight on that kid. Please. I bake two to three items every darn day...bread, muffins, cookies, cake, crackers, crumpet, english muffins. My kids are all low-end bmi. Why? I wonder? I can't figure it out? Maybe I should get some "corn sugar"?

I guess I'll be getting ANOTHER note from the pediatrician that I'm not starving my kids. We need education. Not gimmicky price dropping.

  • What liberals? the LIBERAL mayor of SF didn't want that...

You mean this Mayor~ Gavin Newsom? The same mayor who signed an executive order earlier this year banning sweetened beverages like Coca Cola and Pepsi from vending machines on city property.Hrmmmm, people can't have options to make their OWN decision? .... Just take the options away? All things in moderation? Not on SF city property....

  • I'm sorry, last I checked the Obama's do not have an obesity problem, but most of America does.

While I can't think of just one word to describe you comparing these two articles I will say its a pathetic attempt to trash the Obama's. Please move on and find something worthy of picking on.

I assume you think Nancy Reagan's "just say no" campaign was too much government controlling our lives too?
