What are some things i can make?

So i am throwing my husband a surprise going away party (he will be deploying overseas) & i am needing some help on what to make.Usually we do cook outs but now that it is freezing out side i need to do something inside. I need to find some guy friendly foods if that helps & preferably things that don't take forever to cook. Thanks ladies for the help!

  • Like hors d'oeuvres?   You can make the little smokies in BBQ sauce, wings, spicy beef dip with bread- that's really good.  If you're interested in the recipe, let me know.  Sub sandwiches, sloppy joes, etc..

  • Are you doing dinner or finger foods?

For dinner I'd do something like Meatball Sandwiches or BBQ Beef Sandwiches (actually pork or my favorite) in the crockpot, a big salad, hashbrown potato casserole, and a veggie platter, then a dessert.

For finger foods, my favorites are baby burritos, mini sausages in bbq sauce, spinach artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, sausage balls, cheese ball with crackers, a veggie platter, a fruit flatter, mini cheesecakes, or a cookie platter with a variety of cookies. All can be made ahead, and those that are served warm can just be heated up at the last minute.

Holler if you'd like a recipe
