  • employee. I've been an employer and there are too many rules and regulations and hidden costs.

  • I've been both. There are ups and downs to each side. When you are the employer you have to deal with all the problems when people don't show up, call in sick or decide to quit. You do all the work no one else is there to do. You never get to take a vacation when you are the boss. You also can't really make friends with the people who work for you. It can be a little lonely.
