Why can't I cry?

I really need to cry, but the tears just won't come...Why?

  • oh, Im sorry you feel like crying. Sometimes depression makes it even harder to cry it out. Maybe go take a long shower if you can, and relax as much as possible. Now is the time to comfort yourself

  • If it is a more recent occurence (as in you've cried and produced tears in the past) then this recent symptom could be a sign of depression or emotional apathy. If you've never had the capability and can't recall ever producing tears in the past it could be a rare affliction known as Familial Dysautonomia
