anyone know how to make banana bread?

  • 3 eggs, 1 cup oil, 2 cups sugar, 3tsp. vanilla, 3 cups of flour, 1tsp baking soda, 1/4tsp. baking powder, 1tsp. salt, 2tsp. cinniamon, 2 cups mashed bananas. Cream eggs, oil, sugar & vanilla, blend thoroughly. Add flour, soda, baking pwdr., salt & cinnamon.. Mix thoroughly, add bananas. Makes 2 loaves..Can add walnuts if desired. Bake @350 for 1 hour or until done. ENJOY :)

  • You're welcome, you can also substitute chopped zuchinni in place of the bananas.

  • Yes, I've made several times, as well as pumpkin bread. 


    This is the recipe I use for banana bread and I add 1/2 cup of pecans.

  • I use the one from the Betty Crocker cookbook. All my sons friends mother's are always requesting the recipe. you can get it online as well.

  • Sounds like you have gotten lots of great recipes, so I won't add mine. But I do want to give a tip. Don't over mix it. When you add the dry ingredients to the wet, just mix until the dry ones are moistened - do not use a mixer!!! It will look lumpy and gross, but it will bake up wonderfully. When it gets over mixed it's really tough and chewy and it actually doesn't taste as good.

    Oh and you can throw in some chocolate chips to make a real treat the kids will love!
