When did you stop breastfeeding?

When did you choose to stop breastfeeding your little one?When is the best age(month)?my daughter is 9 months right now and i am thinking by the time she turns one,i want to stop..

  • i think its really a personal decision... i stopped bf dd when she was 7 weeks. and i am currently still bf ds who is 11wks

  • i bf my youngest till she was 12 months, but omgosh dont give them a bottle , i made this mistake cuz it was hard to get her to stop bfing so the bottle was a battle i could of done with out. lol GL

  • my son is 14mos and still going, but only for naps and bedtimes, every once in a while he wants to comfort nurse but thats really all now.

  • They all went to a cup around 10 months, and then weaned themselves around 12 months... It was easy, and I never had to use a bottle.

  • I stopped exclusively BF at 4 months and did a bottle here and there. Then went 50/50 at about 6 months. And DS weaned himself off the breast at about 10 or 11 months. I say go as long as you and your child want. The longer the better!!!! Kudos for BF!!!

  • when im out in public and try to breastfeed,i still get those looks from others.some say my daughter looks like she is one already and that i should stop breastfeeding her

  • Breastfeed as long as you are comfortable with. Screw what anyone else thinks. I wish I could have breastfed longer but my son had surgery on his skull at 4 months and he wouldn't latch on after that. Stick with it if that is what you want to do. GL!!

  • I almost made it to 6 months but I let my little one lead I BF till she absolutely wouldn't anymore.
