  • yes and no all children learn at their own pace. My son didnt talk much at 14months but we had a lot of ear infections and his hearing was being affected it wasnt till we had tubes put in that he really startd to talk hes now 21months old and is about average for speech. If your really worried talk to your dr about it. i think by 18months our dr said they should know 10 to 20words and they may not all make since. Just keep encouraging him to talk.

  • He might have a lil speak that you do not understand and maybe only understand mama and dada . As long as he response to you saying things to him he will soon be saying more enjoy these moments where he is just learning because my 2 year old talks all the time .

  • I think every toddler is different and starts talking more at their own speed. He's still too young to worry about speech issues =)

  • My 15 month old says mama and dada and dlfkgohgofghogh.  That's what it sounds like, lol.  Don't worry babe, all of them do things at their own pace.

  • Yes, he supposed to tell all poems of Shakespeare by heart:P Every child is different. They start to talk when they are ready. If he doesn't say too much until his 30th birthday than you would have a bachelor son:P But usually children starts to talk properly after their 2nd or 3 birthday. Some children a bit later. It is perfectly normal:) You will miss these times when he can't talk all day:) Just wait until he will learn to say no:P
