Should we take a trip with or without our 3 year old?

I know he would have fun but we would enjoy just being with each other too. It would be just a weekend and he would stay with his grandparents. But then I don't want him to miss out on anything. Not sure where we are going. It depends on whether he goes or not.

  • Without! My baby is 2.5 and we are planning a trip right around her 3rd birthday. It will be the first time we have been away from her for more than 12 hours! BUT I think mom and dad need some alone time, and just think how happy you will be (and your son) when you get home and see him again!

Just make sure he is happy with whoever you leave him with, and you call him every day. Make sure he knows you're coming back for him. ;-)

  • Normally I'd say, take your son, but since it's just a weekend, I'd leave him with gma and gpa. Then maybe plan a weekend trip all about him!

  • If you have had many weekends away with your hubby then take her. If not, leave her with the grandparents if they have fun together. Enjoy!!

  • Let him stay with the grandparents and enjoy some alone time. He'll probably have more fun.

  • The two of you need a mini honeymoon without the toddler and plan a special trip with the toddler next time but bring him or her something back from the trip
