what do i give a two month old for pain from shots?

  • you shouldn't really give them anything at that age. you could try appling a warm cloth to the area. I know there are infant pain releavers but our Dr.'s have always said not to give them any until hey were older

  • infants tylenol! I was always told not to use motrin on an infant because of something in the medicine that interferes with where brain developing....may be true, or may be that there doc is just crazy lol

  • NOTHING! nothing is safe for a 2 month old to take!! just rub where they do the shot and do a warm compress if needed!!

  • i didn't give my kids anything after any of their shots. i just massaged the area, first with a warm cloth, then as the day went on i'd do it with my hand during diaper changes. but if you have to, i recommend tylenol, not motrin. i trust tylenol more

  • I have always been told its best not to give a baby anything until they reach 6 months. Besides its just shots, he'll be just fine.

  • You can give them infant actaminophen, never aspirin. But, you should always ask your Dr. before giving any meds to an infant or young child.

  • my kids dr's always had us give them tylenol before them getting their shots. and if we didint they would give them just a little at the office. i dont remember the dose for that age tho. :(
