  • try putting him to sleep in his bed or in his room. lay with him in his room or his bed so he still feels safe if he sleeps through the night he shouldnt wake up screaming because he is in his bed.. just keep working on it

  • If he is use to sleeping with you.................

A fight is on .... Put your childs bed beside yours, make sure you can just reach over at an touch your child.

    This WILL TAKE TIME.

.ONCE YOU START !! DO NOT GIVE IN !!!!!

When he cries, sit up -lay him down, night-night.
Pat on bottom or back for comfort.

As this goes on move bed further, away from your bed.
In hall way, and fineally to his room.

  • My 2 year old still sleeps in our bed occasionally. What we did was we put him in his own bed in our room, and then eventually moved him into his own room. He will wake up in the middle of the night and come lay with us, but I don't have any issues with that :)

  • I'm guessing he's still in a crib, so it's simple (if he has his own room)
Put him in his crib, and leave his room. He'll learn.

  • The way I did it with my daughter was, I layer her in her bed and sat next to her bed until she fell asleep. As time went by I would get further away from her and closer to her door, I sat out in the hallway, then eventually she didn't even notice I wasn't in the room, and went right to sleep

  • It's gona be a long hard fight there. Just patience & a routine. Both my older kids slept with me til they were 3 & 4. We went thru the cryin, fit throwing, & general upheaval of the switch. usually I could rock them to sleep & put them in bed. Then they got wise to that & wouldn't let me rock them anymore. So then I'd have to come up with a new trick. Trial & error. I started putting my lo in a bassinet when he was 6/7 months old. Now I can't hardly get him to sleep with me at all. Unless he's sick like 2nite. He wouldn't sleep in his so I put him in mine. GL mama
