WTF is a "wifey"?

I see people use this term a lot. It's always referring to a woman who is important in some way to someone... but it's used between friends AND lovers. I just don't understand what the hell it means lol.

  • I have a male friend that calls me his "wifey" sometimes because I handle things like travel arrangements, doctors appointments, etc. for him. (He's a single executive guy that works for my DH.) He said that I'm better than a wife because I don't nag him. LOL I don't know that this is the mainstream description, but this is how he uses it.

  • But most women use "hubby" to describe their HUSBANDS. Not their friends.

It's a stupid term anyway lol.
