  • At 2 my son carried around a black velvet purse. He put his matchbox cars in it and it didn't matter what I said he was going to use it and wear it. At home and in public. And if anyone would've made a negative comment towards him I would've come out fighting because he's 2, and he only wants to be like mommy. I got him a backpack and he wanted that purse. Now at just a week shy of his 5th birthday he wants nothing to do with purses because they're for girls. I say go for it, they're only 2 once and he's gonna feel left out without one. Messenger bags are becoming more acceptable for even men to wear, and even if they weren't, he's 2!

  • There are more males carrying around a messenger bag, than females! I don't see anything wrong with it, it's better than him carrying around a purse lol. Why not make him a book bag? =)

  • I see more men with messenger bags than I do females so I think it's a wonderful idea.

  • Don't see why not.....but then he's only 2 and not going to want to carry something around him like that.

  • Yup. ... or a backpack. Boys need to carry around their stuff, too!
