I have a hard time swallowing my prenatals..

Did you have this problem? If so what did you take instead. My doctor said that children flinstones vitamins are just as good, but my husband thinks she is crazy and wants me to get a second opinion.

  • I took the flintstones with all three of my pregnancies. I know lots of people that have taken them. They are just as good.

  • I know several women who have taken Flinstone vitamins. Have your DH compare the contents - almost identical to prenatals. (You may want to beef up your intake of food containing Folic Acid though.)

  • Actually, she's right!!! (= But I prefered prenatals anyways. I cut them in half, since they're so big. & My friend actually crushed hers up and put it in a glass of water and chugged away.

  • Most prenatals are as big as horse pills. And I agree with your hubby that doctor is crazy.. Flintstone kids doesnt provide enough nutrients and vitamins a pregnant women needs.Ask your local pharmisist.. They know more about vitamins and such more often then doctors do. Possibley help you pick one out that is small enough to swallow

  • OMG my pills were huge and even my SO was shocked how big they were. I dont think flintstones carry the same amount of vitamins the pills carry. I am sure they can find something smaller that you amy not have as much trouble with.

  • i just got a bottle of the nature-made brand pre-natal multi-vitamins and they are very small.....about 25% smaller than a regular multi-vitiamin i would say. you can take a regular multi vitiamin but it will not have increased amounts of folic acid which is very important especially in early pregnancy.

  • My Dr. gave me chewable prenatals...ask about getting those if you don't want the flintstones =)

  • Dha and calcium are very important to growing little ones too, and flintstones don't have enough calcium and zero dha.
