Are you name brand conscious?

My daughters wanted Ugg boots but I could not justify spending over one hundred dollars for sherling boots with the logo when Costco has a comparable sherling boot.
We all have Costco brand sherling boots.

  • No. I can not afford it. I have 2 teens though. My daughter paid $30 for a hat but it was her money. I would not pay $30 for a hat and she knows it. I am as frugal as they come.

  • Depends on what I'm buying.

I have tried Target's facial lotion and facial cleanser and like it a lot. Their plastic bags not so much so I switched back to Ziploc.
    Clothes/Shoes - I prefer name brand.
Food Products - I prefer name brand.

  • Sometimes I am. It just depends though on what I am looking for. I dont buy my kids clothes from walmart simply because after many years of parenting I have found their clothes dont last as long as other clothing. I will go out of my way and pay more for jeans for the kids that will with stand how hard they play. Same thing for shoes. Cheap shoes dont last.
I havent gotten Ugg boots for the simply fact were in the south and maybe get a foot of snow total during the winter. I dont see spending that kind of money for something that we wont use but a couple months here. To date my kids also havent asked for them either. They are free to buy what they want when they work and have cash as well.

  • I am about certain things, mainly baby items. I love the Huggies wipes and refuse to use any other brand. I also only use Pampers swaddlers on my newborns. California Baby for hygiene products.

As far as clothing, I mainly only wear name brand stuff (American Eagle, Hollister, etc) but I buy it for the comfort and because the clothes last longer than anything I've ever bought from say Walmart or Target.

  • there's a few things I am brand conscious about. I wear name brand Uggs. And Prada glasses. And my purse is from target and my wallet is from the dollar store, lol..... my kids wear name brand/logo tops/shirts and walmart, kmart, used store pants.

  • Not in general. Of course there are those things that I don't ever stray from because I know they work and can't be equaled or beaten by any other brand or generic. As far as clothes go I don't give 2 hoots as long as I look how I want to look and am comfortable doing it. Makeup...only Bare Minerals and Aveda. Hair and skin products...only Aveda. Only Seventh Generation diapers and wipes and California Baby personal care products for my littles.
