what is your favorite topping on oatmeal?

I put on crushed almonds, honey, cinnamon, and milk. I see that almond milk is this new ''milk'' of the year now. Never had that. This list is what I tend to alternate on oatmeal.

raisins/ dates

  • I vary widely. Craisons/raisins are great. A pat of butter is too and a drizzle of honey perhaps

  • A little brown sugar (I don't like it very sweet) and sliced banana. Lately I've been mixing craisins and chopped walnuts that's delicious too!

  • I just tried almond milk for the first time this week, and tried it on my oatmeal yesterday - it's good, but on oatmeal, unsweetened tasted kind of funny. Definitely worth a try, especially if you like almonds!

Anyway, my favorite "in a hurry" is cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar. If I have more time, I like to chop up an apple and put that in for just a couple minutes of the cook time, plus cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar. Raisins are okay too, or even apples & raisins together...craisins are better. I'm not too adventurous, I don't really like nuts in my oatmeal or other fruits.
