Birthday Party Food

DD is turning 5 and we are having her a birthday party a local place that has a couple inflatable bouncers, obstacle course, bouncy floor, arcade room, etc. Anyway, we are going to serve food (I know we don't HAVE to, but we WANT to). At most parties we go to, it would be pizza, sloppy joes, or hot dogs...none of which DD likes. In fact, she doesn't really like anything other than PB&J's, but I really don't want to make 100 PB&J sandwiches.

Does anyone know of a tried and true recipe of something that I can make? Like a PB&J roll or something of the sort that can be munched on before the cake while the kids are playing?

  • A tray of pb&j rolls, a tray of veggies, a tray of cheese and crackers, and a tray of fruit. most kids really enjoy finger food like that and it's easy b/c you can make it all pretty quickly or they can be ordered if you need to save time. Enjoy the party!

  • Kid's usually like celery with peanut butter or cheese put in the middle of it. Deviled eggs is something else that most kids like and can be eaten quickley. Maybe a tray of meats, cheeses and crackers would work and you could do one with veggies and dip also.

  • How about a fruit tray with some dip, a veggie tray with some dip, pick up a box of the uncrustables from Sam's or something, and if you want a little more than that, stromboli or calzones or something?
