mange?

Does mange ever just go away? because I think one of my dogs has it and has had it before?

  • I don't think it will go away without treatment, my moms dog had it one summer and she had to shave her down and use special creams on her. She also had to give her pills.

  • No, it does not if it goes untreated it will only get worse. You need to take them dog to the vet and have them diagnose and treat the dog.

  • When we first got the dog he got these bald spots and we didnt know what it was but his hair grew back but it took like a month..

  • Mange,  You may want to see your Vet for medication.... Mange can go away and come back, even after a good treatment from your Vet.  It has a lot to do with a weak immune system.  You need to strengthen the immune system so that the dog can fight off this mange mite.  With a strong immune system, mange doesn't have a chance.

  • will come and go as far as bald patches, and itching, but the skin decease is always there, it needs to be treated with antbiotics. it is also very contagious, so keep it away from any other animals you may have.

  • there are two types of mange one is contagous and the other is not. Regardless the dog should be seen by a vet.
