  • With kids at that age, id think having a "campfire" in the living room in the evening, make a tent, sing songs, make smores in the microwave, tell stories, also do you have any kids musuems around? you could go there, you could turn all your lights out, get flashlights, and you and your four year old could "seek" your six year old. Do you have a big mall to walk around in? Thats always nice to take the kids to walk around in, you could set up activities, go to walmart or a craft store and and get popicle sticks and glue and make picture frames, or get foam squares and make an igloo. Get your kids to help you create a board game, and that will always be fun, buy some poster board and start out with that. Thats always a nice idea, you can play it as they grow up and have a keepsake of all those family game nights. Play dress up with them and play house, go to walmart with magnifying glasses and create a list of things to find...

  • take that list and stay with them and get them to use their minds to find what you "need", like toothpaste or a lightbulb. (great when you have to shop but have plenty of time to waste time to do it).
