Can you sew - without a sewing machine?

I've been able to sew since I was 12.

  • My mom always sewed so I learned there. Years ago school (starting in middle school) always taught sewing. I used to sew a lot when my kids were young and now make doll clothes for my granddaughter.

  • Yes, both, but I prefer to sew by hand.

  • Yup... but I prefer the machine for quilting. Hand sewing for repairs. I am teaching both my kids (one boy one girl) to sew buy hand... it sure comes in handy when you are away at college and your button falls off!! LOL

  • I don't even know how to sew with a machine. I've never used one in my life. I can sew a button on, or something like that, but for hemming, I drop off at the dry cleaner and have them do it.
