How long do you bleed heavy after childbirth?

It's been a week since I delivered and I am still bleeding heavy.

  • Try urinating frequently. I urinated as soon as soon a felt the need to go. The day after I had dd I was wearing a panty liner. If you hold your pee that is when you bleed heavy.

  • 3-5 weeks and then about 2 weeks of very light flow. Very similar both babies (c-sections)

  • I had heavy bleeding for about 1.5-2 weeks, then it tapered down to light bleeding and spotting until it was gone by the end of 3 weeks. Anything up to 6-8 weeks is normal.

  • I only bled like 2 or 3 weeks total. I think about a week to a week and a half was heavy.

  • A few weeks and then your regular period should start right before you go back to the doctor for your follow-up
