Is it tacky to do baby shower invites as an event on facebook?

This is how my mom wants to send my invitations for my baby shower, I know everyone is on facebook and it will save a tree and some money but I don't know if this is tacky or ok...what do you ladies think?

  • I personally don't. I think it's just the way of our generation.

  • Yes, it would be. Sorry, for a baby shower it should be a written and mailed invite. What if someone doesn't have Facebook or an email? Then they aren't invited?

  • I think it's kinda tacky, to be honest. Then again, I'm kinda old-fashioned.

  • In this day in age it's fine. Though be conscious of those who aren't on facebook and make sure they get a written/mailed one.

  • I don't see anything wrong with it, but I'm not a picky person.  If I thought it was easier on them, then I wouldn't say anything, but that's just me.

  • No i did mine like that too, since it's hard to give everyone a invitation. although i did try to deliever some myself! Although some people on facebook don't consider it to be an invitation, or bother to look at events. (that happened to me) i stil messaged them the invitation as a message through facebook either way. the ones who want to come will be there and the ones who don't then oh well. its their lost! =)
