Do any one have an good ideas for dieting

I need to lose a few pounds before Valentines day want to look nice for the ole man lol............

  • I would suggest eating about 1200 -1500 calories a day and exercising at least 30 minutes a day everyday. Best wishes~

  • Exercise and eat only healthy foods, Fruit , veggies and Chicken and fish

  • Eat healthy, nutritious foods. How much depends on your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and your activity level. To lose 1 pound of fat, you have to burn 3500 calories. It's not recommended to lose more than about 2 pounds a week. From your BSR and ability to exercise, you can figure out your caloric deficit (usually about 500 calories below your BSR or 1200 calories, whichever is greater). Don't drop below 1200 calories because then your body goes into stasis and you burn muscle while you create more fat stores. (It's a cave brain survival thing...)

    I use Sparkpeople, which is free to use online. I found a lot of dietary info, exercise info, tracking programs and emotional support there. I've lost 5 pounds so far and very VERY rarely do I feel deprived (mostly when it comes to "junk" food) and I'm not having to kill myself exercising either.
