My 2 month old just pooped and there was blood in her poop!

I just changed my daughters diaper and there was spots of blood in her poop! She is breastfed, and has the yellowish juicy poops - so I highly doubt she's constipated. Also, she's been pooping normal and has been acting normal. Is this something I should call the doctor about?? I'm worried :/

  • call a dr. If it was a hard poo I could understand maybe it ripped a little on the way out. But yes call a dr.

  • Most likely caused by the dairy in your diet. You need to call but I'm pretty sure they will have you cut way back on your dairy intake.

  • My doctor told me that if there is blood present in the baby's stool it could indicate an allergy formula. Try not to panic. I'm sure there is am explanation. We did a stool test and blood was present in the stool and we found out our baby was allergic to milk based formula now she is on Hypoallergenic formula.

  • Make sure to keep the diaper so they can see exactly what you are talking about when you take her into the docs office.
