is acrylic paint ok for an almost-3 year old?

  • I'm not sure to be honest. Acrylic is made of polymer so I'm sure it's not too bad. It just doesn't come out of anything. I think my kids did christmas stuff with it.

  • whats the recommended paint for this age then? tempura?

  • Finger paints, tempera paints, watercolors.

  • Acrylics never come out of clothes. I used to use them to purposely paint clothes because they are permanent. Look and see what's in the kid's aisle. Look for crayola brand. You want washable water based paint.
