How often are you

clearing out kids clothes out of the drawers that don't fit anymore?

  • often, monthly I suppose. If a pair of pants are no longer acceptable for school or even for play, I'll turn them into jammies for as long as possible. I try and keep the clothes in motion. They're either in use, dropped off at goodwill, or on ebay

  • Not so often, it's more likely that I am moving things out of drawers into storage boxes because they're not weather appropriate.

  • I keep 4 bins in my laundry room and as I pull things out of the dryer I sort. Of course I fold and stack for everyone to put away what still fits and is in season. 1 bin gets things my son and youngest daughter have grown out of/out of season clothes - to donate. 1 bin gets my oldest daughter's outgrow/out of season clothes for my younger to grow into. 1 bin gets things handed down for my son to grow into. 1 bin is for things that I want to hand down to others rather than donate. This way I never have to do 1 big sort.
