Thank-you mammas for supporting my boy in cheerleading,,, update!

I picked DS up from school, and got home and read your messages, explained to him that he might be the only boy doing it, he said, I don't care, I just don't want daddy to be mad at me,, showed him a few of your supportive posts, and hubby IS taking him to tryouts,, we have been through 3 miscarrrys and 1 daughter who died shortly after birth,, I asked him did we go through all of this to not at least let him TRY to do what he wants? He is going to take DS to tryouts, and he is not going to make him feel bad,, THANK-YOU ladies,, you helped my little boy at least get to try to do what he feels he needs to I love you Cafe Mommmas!

  • FINALLY! I almost felt as though he were my own child -- I was stressing he wouldnt get to atleast TRY it!

Tell hubby we will come looking for him if he goes back on his word!

  • WOOT! WOOT!

Sometimes we just have to shame men into doing what is right. They get all caught up in their preconceived notions and need to be convinced that that way of thinking is detrimental to kids.

  • If he ends up enjoying the cheerleading, you should check into gymnastics for him. Guys are always needed in HS and college teams and gymnastics will be very good for him.
