  • Because he lost hundreds of pounds with just diet and excercise and has motivated many severly obese people to do the same. He is a very sweet man. Extremly positive. So what if he doesn't have a ton of muscle, he's getting older.

  • I was going to say the same thing as Musicmom80--he changed his physique dramatically, which is awesome. He may not be a beefcake, but he's like 60-something years old. He's probably still in really good health for his age! He's popular with the older crowd and his workouts are well suited for them.

  • Because he is able to motivate people who have probably always thought of exercise as boring, too much work, too hard, or embarassing to lose weight. People who are overweight or obese may find it overwhelming to lose a ton of weight, but he just shows them how to just have fun & dance it off, and who doesn't love to dance? People can follow his exercise program at home without feeling self conscious b/c the people in his videos are larger as well, not Denise Austin toned and thin. (Try working out with Denise Austin pregnant or post partum! I wanted to smack her, and I love her!!) He makes people feel good, and he himself has gone from fat to fit, which is a great motivation.

  • It's like others say, he inspires people. He doesn't judge people for the way they look.
