Do you supplement?

What vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes, and/or herbs do you take everyday and/or occasionally?
What do you take them for?
How have they helped you?

I used to take vitamins everyday but I've gotten away from it unfortunately. But I still often take a multi-vitamin, vitamin B complex, kelp drops, and L-Lysine all mostly for energy and immune health. I alternate them. But soon I'm going to start taking Calcium Citrate with vitamin D and Magnesium with Chelated Zinc for both bone and muscle health. Because I'm going to also try to start exercising more often. Now I know muscles also need Potassium but I always have Bananas in my house and eat them pretty often, so I think I'm probably good on that one. But I've also been thinking about taking Papaya Enzyme again which helps in breaking down food and soothes the stomach while making certain foods more agreeable to your body. Actually, I think I've been needing that lately. I'll have to get some.

So, what do you take and why?

  • I take a multi vitamin daily :) I have nice skin, and I am not getting sick as often as what I once did!

  • All I take is a prenatal vitamin. I'm not pregnant, but I take the prenatals everyday because they are easy on my stomach and have extra iron that I need because I'm prone to anemia.

  • I don't think I have trouble clotting because I get clots sometimes on AF. But I do bleed more than normal during childbirth for some reason and have always had low blood and anemia on and off. They gave me some type of shot in the hospital immediately after the baby came out to stop the bleeding. I was white as snow.

  • Make sure you take Iron and vitamin C together, which it probably already has in it, because they work best together. My mom has the same problem but I've always had really go Iron levels. We think maybe because I eat breakfast and she doesn't but not sure about that.
