is any and all cleaning while pregnant considered "nesting"?

i had a very busy week and being pregnant i let all the cleaning pile up. Sunday i did laundry, washed dishes, and straighted the living room. DH kept saying "nesting a little early eh?" (im 27 weeks). i always thought nesting was the crazy kinda cleaning...ya know where you have the energy and need to move large furniture to clean underneath it and clean the bathroom with a toothbrush (dont laugh i nested like that w/ my DD). or is it all considered nesting when your pregnant?

  • "Nesting" is when you go crazy and clean everything and anything. Not just cleaning the house after it gets messy, that's not neccissarily nesting. It's when you move furniture, wash everything in the house, dust from floor to ceiling in every room, and basically go about cleaning as if you're over the top OCD. It's the process of creating a "Nest" for the new baby that is clean and inviting. Not just everyday chores, even if those everyday chores have been put off for a few days.

  • If it gives you an excuse to make everyone else help...absolutely!
