how do you "self check" your cervix position? adult content

i mean, i sometimes just guess mine is low when its that time of the month because it feels like its about to fall out of my vagina because i'm cramping so bad. But seriously..i hear people say "its, low and soft" how the hell do you know? what can i compare it to so that i can tell if its hard or soft? and am i right, is it low when its that time of the month? idk anymore... also, what should your cervical position be when you are first pregnant?

  • Insert your finger into your vagina. in the back top portion you will feel a cone shape coming down. That is the cervix. The cervix moves throughout the day so you need to find one time a day to check it and always check at the same time each day.

When you are not ovulating it will feel firm like the end of your nose. The closer to ovulation, the softer or more giving it will feel.

Also, the closer to ovulation, the higher it will be. Meaning that it it retracting into the top wall of your vagina to the point that you may have a hard time reaching it.

along with this, you should note the opening of the cervix. For women who have not had a child, the opening will be round. for those who have had a child, it will be more oval in shape. Closer to ovulation the more 'open' the hole will be.

It can take a couple cycles to get to know the difference in the position and feel of the cervix.

  • It varies from woman to woman. Mine still moved each day but not as high up as when I was ovulating.

  • yeah, i just read that for some it gets higher right before they miss their period. i hope so..i felt like mine got really low like i was about to start right after ovulation and now i can't feel anything. i can tell when its low though. i really really hope this is my month.
