  • Find something else to keep busy--clean the house, mow the lawn, take a walk, call a friend. And chew gum for oral stimulation.

  • go for a walk, shower, read a book,maybe find a craft to do like knitting, scarpbook, just anything to keep you busy and your hands busy.

  • Try to work out why you're angry about your life, or feeling powerless, while you're out on your walk. Outside. Go outside. Even if you only walk around the outside perimeter of your house or apartment, you need to get outdoors. Even if the weather stinks.

    Boredom is typically simmering anger, and feeling stressed is a result of thinking that you shouldn't have to deal with whatever (so you don't, and then feel stressed about that) or that it shouldn't be happening either at all or to you. It should. You should have to deal with it. As Byron Katie says: Why would anyone need a god, with you in charge of the world?

    Or, as my kids are inclined to say: put your big girl panties on and deal with it.

  • I have the same problem. A few things help alot. One is having purpose, a job, volunteering, or something that takes up a good chunk of time and distraction from the food boredem problem. Next is hobbies. Start a new hobbie out side of the house. A crochet group, racket ball, walking with company. Finally, where are you lacking in your life? Do you need more pals, more music, more dance, laughter, then what do you need to do to fulfill that. Make steps towards fullfilling yourself from the inside out, rather than the outside in.

  • Try the new gums by Extra they have alot of favors so this might help to trick your bod into thinking that you having these things. Try nuts , trail mix , or something that is filling and good for you . Good luck.
