Jan. 24, 2011: A suspected suicide bombing at Domodedovo airport in Moscow killed at least 35 people and wounded about 130, an airport spokesman said.
A witness to the massive explosion that killed at least 35 people at Moscow's busiest airport Monday says he saw a man carrying a flaming suitcase seconds before the blast.

  • It was all over Morning Edition yesterday morning, with follow-up today. Medvedev cancelled an economic trip to deal with it.

    I think the thing that hit me most was the Russian cab driver that the NPR reporter talked to. He was in the terminal waiting for a fare when the explosion happened. Not long after, he went back to work.
