  • Well ovre 4200 if you break them down to denominations and not just basic Faiths (Such as Catholic as opposed to just Christian). This includes many less known religions.

    I happen to be Atheist.

  • I'm Christian, but it's not about religion. It's about a relationship with God, and Jesus. That's always more important to me than any religion could be.

  • I sometimes thing there are as many as there are people, since everyone seems to take away different things from the same ones...

And my answer is 'none, thanks.'

  • Those are probably the most "popular". Cause I am sure there are still Mayans, Native Americans, Sumarians (sp), etc.

  • There are 1000's of different religions. I am Catholic, but don't really believe in organzied religion, I believe more in faith.

  • I think there are probably thousands, plus there are many people don't follow just one religion, spiritual path or philosophy.

My basic religion or how I view the concept of God is Pantheism with leanings toward Scientific Pantheism. I also practice Buddhism, which is essentially a non-theistic philosophy/religion or way of life.

I am also interested in many other religions and philosophies, such as Taoism, Hinduism, post-theism, Secular Humanism, Unitarian Universalism, etc.

  • I'm a Christian Universalist. There's a quote I quite like that says something to the effect that there are just as many religions as there are people, because we all have our different ways of believing and understanding, and even if we follow the same religion, say Christianity, for example, there are many different versions of Christianity and many different ways to be Christian, if that makes any sense... :)
