  • uh.. my 3 year old seems to be touching himself a lot and when I ask him why, he says because its big.. we've been noticing him do the humping motions too - not sure what to do, I know its normal but I don't really know how to "deal " with it as a Mom and what is appropriate etc.. I am trying to learn recently.

  • i'm kinda confused with maxsmom answer cause you said "playing BY themselves" soooo i'm gonna answer this the way i took it. my daughter turned 6 months old today. she has a mobile just above her head with little white bears that she plays with, she also has stuffed animals all around her crib. she lifts her legs and stomps to move herself over to them and plays with them. she'll wake up in to morning or wake up from a nap and just start playing. she has no problem entertaining herself

  • My 21 month just started playing by herself more and more. She still needs mommy to come play in her tent and watch movies with her!

  • My son was months old in his crib when he started entertaining himself. He'd sing to himself, or play with the musical toys I had hanging on the sides. He's never needed me to play with him or entertain him, that's just been his temperament from the beginning. Every child is different, some need more attention then others. Sometimes I think my child is too independent.

  • My daughter is 15 months she started palying alone in her room about a month ago... She also has a TV in there and she will now come get me and make me fallow her in there then she sits in the rocking chair points for her blankie and waits for me to put on one of her movies. Then she wants me to leave so she can watch it in peace.. soo funny!! VERY INDEPENDENT!!!
