  • Don't be embarrassed to call your pediatrician if you have any questions. That's why they get paid so much!

  • first off I would have to say that the book on the what to expect the first year is a very good book! also there is alot of advise people can give you, but dont be afraid to say no thank you not all advise is right for you and your lil one. also babies are very good at telling you exactly what they want when they want it so just try to stay calm and let them tell you what they need. most of the time its they obvious i am hungry sleepy wet, but they can also just want to be held or maybe the surroundings are too much for them right now. My son most of the time didnt want held but he wanted you to play with him keep him entertained. I hope this helps and if it all else false call the grandma they are great and usually have great advise!

  • Trust your instincts. If you have questions, go to ped first, not family... They try to be helpful, but safety concerns change over time, and family just doesn't always know. Write down everything (milestones, funny moments, etc). Take TONS of pictures! Embrace every little moment... Dont put your baby down lol :)

  • 7 weeks old, they sleep alot, and eat, and poop. that is about it. take LOTS of pictures, and snuggle. as they grow, they wont snuggle anymore. he still cant see well, so stay close to him. let him stare at your face and black and white objects. just basically reasure him you are there, and will not go anywhere. that is what he needs most, that and food...
