  • It's within the normal range. Your pediatrician will tell you if your child's weight is a problem. Generally, if a child's growth pattern/height-to-weight ratio is pretty consistent, there's no problem with a specific weight.

  • My baby is 6 months old and only weighs 11 lbs 12 oz. She's below the 5%, but she's only between the 10-15% for height so she's pretty proportionate, just little. My kids were all really little - none of them hit 20 lbs before a year.

  • It's normal. I think they double their weight by 3 months and triple their weight by 1 year. As long as she stays close to the same percentage as she grows. You don't want her born in the 30% range and jump to the 90%.

  • At four months my boys were 17 pounds 15 ounces/ 25 inches, 16 pounds/ 25 1/4 inches, and 15 pounds 14 ounces/ 25 inches. So, nope she sounds perfect to me. Mine have always been in the normal zone for their age.

  • My daughter is 6 months today and 20lbs... Nope not too big at all. My daughter is super super tall. 95-100 % in both. Dont worry :)

My son is almost three and 40lbs... again VERY tall. 100% in both. :)

  • My "babies" aren't babies anymore. My oldest will be 13. He's 5'3" and close to 100 pounds. His "little" brother, my youngest, just turned 11. He's just shy of 5 feet tall and weighs about 90 pounds. Either one of them can nearly pick me up!
