Is it possible for someone to be a smart person, but bad at remembering names?

  • Yep, hubby is terrible at names, but he can remember faces. After a while, he'll match a name with a face, but it takes him a while.

  • Yes. I have always been a straight A student (elementary, hs, college etc) but cannot remember peoples names. I remember their faces fine, but names, not so much.

  • Yep. No one will play me at Trivial Pursuit but ask me to place a name and a face I haven't used at least a dozen times, and I draw a blank!

  • Yes! I usually made As and had a 3.9-4.0 gpa growing up and in college--even graduated Summa Cum Laude as an undergrad, and I forget names or mix names up ALL the time.
