Ok, why didn't he explain this on the campaign trail?

Why didn't he just tell us that he did not intend to veto bills with earmarks until the second half of his term?

  • IDK, I guess he preferred that the giant stay asleep.  Hard to give your friends all of the goodies when people are watching the cookie jar.

  • Well, let's wait and see, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! And he has already said this before so, I don't know about you but I am not holding my breath...

  • I didn't watch the speech so I'm not sure if he is just now saying he won't veto bills with earmarks or that he wasn't going to veto bills with earmarks until the second half of his term. If it's the latter that's easy to answer....his party was in charge until then.

  • Since John Boehner has done said that they won't even vote on bills in the House that have earmarks, this is nothing but more bloviating from Obama.

Answer by BobbieB at 12:03 AM on Jan. 26, 2011

  • Because someone else has their hands up the Obama puppet.
