How long does it normally take to get your newborns Social Security Card?

Im waiting for it so I can file my taxes

  • 4-6 wks where I live. But u should b able to go to the SS Office & get a print out & they should take that with no prob. I had to that once b4.

  • It's been awhile but I think my son's arrived in 4 weeks because I had to have it for his passport and he received his passport when he was 6 weeks old.

  • It takes several weeks. We filled out the form at the hospital (they mailed it for us) and they told us up front how long it would take.
