What would you make out of these ingredients?

What would you make to eat if i gave you these ingredients? 1 head of cabbage, 3 lbs of hamburger, 1 tomatoe, 1 pepper, 1 onion, 1 can of bread crumbs and a pound of bacon

  • I agree with the pp's. I would cook some of the hamburger (probably not all 3 lbs) with the onion and the pepper, maybe add some bread crumbs, then make cabbage rolls out of it and not use the bacon or the tomato.

    You could also use the hamburger, bread crumbs, onion, and pepper (and if you have some catsup) to make meatloaf. You can either put the pepper in it or across the top - if in it, you could also lay the bacon across the top. Then, you could steam the cabbage as a side dish with a little salt and pepper.

    Or, if you have bread, mayo or miracle whip, some sugar, and vinegar, you could make bacon hamburgers topped with the onion and tomato. Make a basic coleslaw to go with it by mixing some mayo, vinegar, and sugar to taste and adding it to very thinly sliced / chopped up cabbage.

  • Do you have butter or oil and some spices? If so, I'd chop the onions and pepper (assuming this is a bell pepper), sautee in butter until the onions are soft. Add bread crumbs, and sautee a couple more minutes. Put them to the side. Fry the bacon. Lay it on paper towels to drain, then crumble it into a bowl. Integrate spices into your hamburger. Fry hamburger patties in the bacon pan. Once the patties are done, put them on the plate. Top with some of the crumbled bacon, garnish with parsley if available. Chop the tomato into small squares. Mix the tomato with the onion and pepper sautee (in a bowl). Add remainder of crumbled bacon. This is your side dish. Neetly add it to your plate aside your hamburger patty. Serve with a glass of juice. Enjoy.

  • I like the meatloaf idea with cabbage as your veggie- as long as you've got some ketchup in the fridge for that meatloaf!

  • Casserole-Cut Cabbage and put in Baking Dish. Brown Hamburger, and Onion and Pepper. Put over Cabbage. Add tomato (add tomato soup if you have it) and Water over Cabbage. Top with strips of bacon, or crumbled bacon. Bake at 300 Degrees for 1 hour.
