"You're My Best Friend"

My 3yo DS is going through this phase, when he likes something someone does, he says "you're my best friend." So far today, DH, my DD11 and myself have all been his "best friend" LOL.

Does your child do this or something similar?

  • My ds started doing that when he was 4 and he still does it. He will even find a toy or small object and will say it is his best friend.

  • OMG! I have been my 3.5 year-old daughter's BEST FRiEND at least five times TODAY -- but 5 minutes ago, she told me she will not be my best friend anymore unless I agree to let her watch "one more little show."

ps -- we are currently NOT best friends -- because I turned off the TV, but she said we could be again if only I will let her have bubbles during bath time!
