At the dentist...

I am not afraid, but for some reason I always tremble terribly. I shake so bad that I shake the entire chair thing, with the light shaking around. It's so weird. The dentist actually asked me today if I needed something to mellow out (like Xanax). I said no because I wasn't afraid. The dental assistant came in and the dentist told her that I didn't want any drugs...because she asked if I was okay. Then she sat down and very firmly and rythmically patted my shoulder during the work...and I quit shivering.

Does anyone else do this at the dentist?

  • I tense up really bad at the dentist. Sometimes I take a muscle relaxer for a cleaning.
