What should I do as a room mom regarding the passing of the school principal's relative?

I'm a room mom, and the principal's son is in the class with my daughter, the principal's mom passed awaya day ago, and for what I understand the son and his grandma were real close, How should we send our condolences? is is OK to send a card from the whole class?

  • I don't think this is a room mother thing. The teacher will do what she thinks is appropriate from the class.

  • You should send a card from you and your family if you feel compelled to. But as far as the class it's the Teachers call.

  • I would send a card and offer to help the teacher with any projects the class is undertaking to offer condolences.
